Lepper's Paperdex

Here's a lil link to Lepper's Paperdex.

You start by clicking the red pokéball on the Pokédex, then the blue button to start it up. You can then choose a model from the left window and move it around with the cross-control at the right. There's 2 buttons at the bottom to download the PDO or PDF. Pretty nice and there's some Pokémon that aren't on Paperpokés' list too :P

Cacnea

It's been a while since we posted a Paperpokés model on this page (and we were supposed to put all of them). This week's model is one of the funniest ones being a big spiky ball; it's also one of the saddest ones if you saw the anime (youtube that). Anyway, directly from the PP post:

Interesting Facts: Cacnea are primarily found in deserts and other arid environments. It release a strong aroma to attract prey to it, and is well adapted to the harsh desert environment. It can store water for almost up to a month. It evolves into Carturne starting at level 32.

THE PAPER MODEL
Height: 17.0 cm/6.7 in
Width: 31.2 cm/ 12.3 in
Depth: 14.3 cm/5.6 in
Pages: 6
Pieces: 41
Level: Easy
Designer: PMF
Photo: Skelekitty
NOTES: Build in numerical order - starting at the head and finishing at one of the feet. Attach spikes and arms as soon as the ring that they are attached to is assembled. This model does not stand independently, So you can either glue it to one of our Paperpokés bases, or alternatively, you can make a short, clear plastic cylinder (approximately 12mm high and 110mm circumference), and sit Cacnea on top of it, the model should stand upright quite comfortably.

See you next week!

Hi everybody,
Sorry for the lack of update, most of the staff is on holiday and the rest of them spend their days at the beach or something... We'll be back next week with a bunch of new models, but until then, please visit the Forum to find some cool stuff or check Paperpokés or Paperkraft.

Have a nice day, have fun and go play outside!

----------
BTW, my new model Duskull is out in case you didn't see it yet. You might remember it when I shared the Skull with a special rabbit version last Easter. You can find it on Paperpokés along with lots of really great models.

Yeah, it is Paperpokés' Team 3 of their serie of Pokédolls! (I know, the title was an obvious giveaway :\)

Halfway done now, 12 more dolls to go!

So you can already download Shellder, Magikrap (huh, i mean karp) and Tentacool at the usual site, and you'll be able to download the Big Snorlax monday morning!

Here is the 2nd team of Pokédolls from the Paperpokés team. It consists of Pikachu, Jigglypuff and Clefairy, possibly the cutest pokémon from Generation 1.

This really could be considered a girls best friend Pokédoll pack. They're all around 12 cm tall and relatively easy to build.

We hope you have fun.

Pokédolls - Team 1 and Lapras doll

Here's the First Team of Pokédolls from the Paperpokés Team, which is actually the first starter set from the Pokémon Red/Blue games; aren't they thematic! The difference tho is that instead of having to choose between 'em, you can actually catch 'em all! They are all 3 pages, around 13cm tall and not too hard. They also look great together!

You can also get the Lapras doll, which is the first on the big dolls.

3D Pokémon Trading Card

This was a late night, sleep-deprived idea that POdragon had about a week back, and then it appeared! It's not just a Pokémon trading card, but a 3D Pikachu!

It's a really simple model that has a terrific finish.

Personally, I'm not actually sure what this Pokémon card trading game is all about, even though I did read the Wikipedia article. But what I do know is that it is definitely not like Uno or Snap.

Congratulations to Brandon, Gupu and POdragon, and thanks all for participating!

I have two more crafts to post from the contest, and I'll start with the Pokemon Battle Diorama! This cute Diorama will surely look great in your craft collection!

Note that the original model is very tiny, and has MANY folds. If you're new to papercrafting or don't have any patience, you might want to do the same as the testbuilder did in the picture: Put something behind the sprites to make it have more depth. Be creative!

To see how it actually should look like, there's a reference picture in the download.

Charmeleon

Charmeleon! Use flamethrower!

Charmeleon is a bipedal, reptilian creature similar to Charmander. It has crimson scales that are much darker than that of the bright red Charmander. Once again it has a tail with the tip burning with fire, a trait seen in many Fire-type Pokémon, especially the Charmander evolutionary line.

Another entry from the Contest! This evolved version of Charmander will surely be able to protect all your papercrafts! On a side note, you can now vote for your favouritet entry in the contest. If you have a forum acount, go and vote now!

Kabutops

Yet another Pokemon Contest entry! This one is Kabutops, by Cotton eyed Joe. Kabutops is evolved from Kabuto, which you get from the Dome Fossil. The Dome Fossil is obtainable in the Pokemon games Red, Blue, Leafgreen, Firered, and I think Diamond and Pearl.

This craft is about 8 pages, but as you can see it's worth it, it looks very nice when it's done. Great job, Cotton Eyed Joe!

Mew

Here's another entry from the Pokemon Contest! This time it's a Mew, by mastermind777. Mew was first obtainable in the Pokemon games Red and Blue, although you have to use a glitch to catch him, and he is low level when he appears. Mew was also in some Pokemon movies, such as the first movie, Mewtwo Strikes Back, where Mew fights with his clone Mewtwo.

The download comes with 3 different sizes of this craft: 15 cm, 25 cm, and 40 cm. Nice job, mastermind777!

Onix and Steelix

A contest entry from the forums. It's Onix!

Onix basically resembles a giant chain of gray boulders. The Pokémon has a magnet in its brain that serves as an internal compass. Onix's body becomes more rounded and smoother as it grows with age.

I think this craft is rather big! It's a whooping 12 pages! Because of all the seperate boulderpieces, its stance is fully customizable.

By Alexkid, info from Bulbapedia

And it's evolution, Steelix is now available on the Paperpokes website!

Steelix like to burrow underground and prefer to live inside mountains or on mountains, or even caves. They are long, large and their body is harder than any other Pokémon's.

Natu

We at Paperpokés don't like to sit still, so we have another Pokémon for you.

Natu is a bird-like Pokémon with a nearly spherical body. It cannot fly because its wings are not yet fully grown. If your eyes meet with this Pokémon's eyes, it will stare back intently at you. But if you move even slightly, it will hop away to safety. It evolves into Xatu at level 25.

Natu is designed by PMF. It was built and photographed by Skelekitty.

Celebi

You might have seen this Celebi at the Paperpokes site but before it was there it was at the Nintendopapercraft forums as an official entry to the Pokemon Contest.

Celebi is notable as the hardest to obtain Pokémon, as there are very few ways to legitimately obtain one outside Japanese games, and even there, they are only obtainable in two games. Also, Celebi was the only Pokémon of the 100 Generation II Pokémon that wasn't used in the Johto Pokérap. It is not known to evolve into or from any other Pokémon.

This model is designed by Brandon, who is a member of the Paperpokes team, which explains why Celebi is found at their site.

Brandon is nice enough to give us a choice of three Celebi sizes, 17 cm, 35 cm and 61 cm (life-size) versions.

The Pokemon Contest ends on December 15. Get your entries in.

Paperpokés is now OPEN!

And the team brings you this model of Rapidash. It's the beautiful fire-horse Pokemon oftentimes abandoned in favor of the more popular fire types like Charizard and Arcanine, which is a pity since Rapidash can be lethal in the right hands.

Rapidash was designed by PMF and Paperbuff. The model was built by Paperbuff.

Remember that Nintendopapercraft's Pokemon Contest will be ending on December 15, so those of you who want to join should head on over to the forum to get your entries in.

Arbok

How are you doing today? Us; beside PMF who got in a fight with a squirrel, we're doing good, thanks for asking.

Paperpokés will finally open tomorrow! So to celebrate that, here's another new model, this time from POdragon. CottonEyedJoe did the testbuild and had this to say about it: "Not rated for high wind zones. Also likes to fall over sideways." A lil weight here or there might do the trick.

The Pokémon contest will end December 15th, so you better work that magic if you're still not done with your model. There's already 29 entries, but don't worry, there's still time to start a new one. Don't forget the PDFs!

Now enough diddle-daddle, here's the model and have a nice day!

Furret

Hey all!
Here's a new model fresh from the oven! Well not really, but you're not supposed to know that. Furret is a Pokémon that evolve from Sentret and can be described as the result of mixing a ferret with the Cheshire cat. Shiny form is even pink just like it while normal is brownish; don't ask me which Brandon built in that pic tho. It's not too hard to build, only 6 pages and looks really cute. (It's suffering from Amnesia tho, easter egg beware ???)

As you can see, the Paperpokés' page is still not open yet; we got some last minute trouble with download links so we're working hard on fixing that and everything should be ready soon. Don't worry, we still have some new models on the vault. We're really sorry to make you wait tho...

Rattata

Hi everyone!

Here's another pokémon, following our commitment to post one pokémon every day until the end of the contest... well almost every day.

Rattata is a mouse-type pokémon that's very easy to catch and looks really cute. In Gen 1, it is tied as being the most common land-based Pokémon available in fact, the other being Pidget; don't we all love random facts!

Anyway, I'll keep it short, PP-style:
Height: 10cm/3.9 in (foot to ear), 15cm/5.9 in (foot to tail)
Width: 14cm/5.5 in (whisker to whisker)
Depth: 16 cm/6.3 in
No. of Pages: 4
Level: Medium
Designer: PMF and Skelekitty
Photo: Paperbuff
NOTES: The mouth area can be tricky because of those huge teeth. I suggest that you build the head starting with the lower portion before moving up to the eyes/ears area so you'll have more space to move around.

PS. Paperpokés open Monday and it's not invite-only, you'll be able to download all 40 models!

Rotom

A wild Rotom appeared on your computer screen!

With a unique body that is similar to electricity, it is able to enter machines and appliances. It uses this ability to create mischief.

Oh my, another great entry for the Pokemon contest! It's a Rotom! The download comes with a small version (shown in picture) and a lifesize version. Note the blue stance that comes with it. You could ofcourse hang it onto your ceiling with some fishing wire, but if you want to let it stand on your desktop or with the rest of your collection, this stand will come in handy. It's all up to you wheter you decide to build it or not. It's the 4th page of the PDF (small version)

The "wings" should be completely cut out, not around the black squared border that's around it. For an even better look, you could cut out the white in the middle as well.

The glow and wings are flat, Rotom itself is 3D.

Electrode

From the tireless team at Paperpokés, this is Electrode. It is a genderless, electric Pokémon and resembles a Poké Ball, and has a tendency to explode in response to even the smallest stimuli - it is known to explode when bored just to entertain itself.

Interestingly, A trainer has a higher chance of running into wild Electric Pokémon if he/she is carrying it in the leading slot. Electrode feeds off of electricity in the atmosphere, which explains why it is normally found living in power plants - the more electric energy Electrode consumes, the faster it moves. Electrode evolves from Voltorb.

This model was designed and built by PMF, who suggests that "you can just draw the eyebrows on it with a black pen."

Breloom

From the Paperpokes team, we have this model of Breloom, the Mushroom Pokemon that evolves from Shroomish. It has a dual nature, being both a Grass and Fighting type. Because of this, Breloom can offer many interesting possiblities for your game. The seed clusters at the end of its tail contain toxic spores. It moves in on its opponent with sprightly footwork and its short but stretchy arms can deliver punches.

This model was designed by POdragon and the build was done by PMF, who took a break from designing to build this cute and easy model.

Gengar Version 2

Here we have Gengar, the Shadow Pokemon. At night, if the shadows appear to be moving and laughing around you, it must be Gengar doing his naughty and devious deeds.

This is a modified version of the Gengar papercraft that we have featured here previously. This one is smaller at 15 cm high and the number of pieces had been reduced significantly. The original design for Gengar was done by Pixel-Kakashi. The modifications were done by Skelekitty.

Skelekitty recommends that you build Gengar in the following order: back, face, tummy, arms, legs, then tail.

Smeargle

Hello!

This is PK with another awesome model, this time by the hand of my good friend PMF.

Smeargle secretes a fluid from its tail, which can be used as paint. Smeargle is the only Pokémon known to express itself in an artistic fashion. Smeargle is also the only Pokémon that can learn any move permanently thanks to its signature move, Sketch. Awesome, right?!

This is his entry for our PoKéMoN contest!

A note from PMF:

"
There's also 21 different textures with it, so you can chose pretty much any colors for the paint.
Only 6 pages and 20 cm high (8 inches)."

Koffing

Gas Attack! Koffing is a gas pokemon, number 109. It first appeard in Pokemon Green, and red, then later in blue and yellow. Koffing appears towards the beggining of the game, and is a good Pokemon early on. It is also James' of Team Rocket's favorite pokemon, and he often uses smoke screen or sludge attack to escape from Ash and his friends, after they have tried to capture pikachu (which happens about every episode)
Anyways, This was built by PMF, and testbuilt by Skelekitty. Have fun building!

Oddish

Another Pokemon released by PMF! It's Oddish!

Oddish are commonly found in the anime. Most of the time they play the victim and are usually being chased or attacked.

Note that this craft doesn't stand on its own! You will really need to have a platform where it can stand on, or otherwise it will just fall over! It's a very nice papercrafte nonetheless!

Ditto

A wild Ditto appeared! Oh noes!

In its natural state, Ditto is a purplish gelatinous blob with vestigial facial features. However, it can take the form of anything. It is also a genderless Pokemon

Great Pokemon, Great designer, bla bla, you know the thing by now :p Still posted for archive purposes. Because I promised posting atleast one Pokemon a day during the contest, these are quite handy so I don't run out of Pokemon all of a sudden :o This doesn't mean this Pokemon is any less cool, just because it's posted out of Archive purposes! Zubat

Another great Pokemon by PMF. There'll be wings! You'll like it!

Zubat is a small, blue bat-like Pokémon. It has two long, skinny tails. Zubat's face lacks any eyes and a nose. The insides of Zubat's ears and undersides of its wings are purple.

This is quite a big papercraft! Zubar will measure 24cm high x 40cm width when fully upright! Note from the testbuilder, Skelekitty: "I love these high-detail pokemon models - they are a work of art! Even as I rotate the 3D virtual model in Pepakura I can't help but be amazed at their beauty. It has this amazing flapping motion in it's wing joint that I suspect is an accidental fluke of nature! "
Sounds great! Have fun!

Slowking

Not the fanciest Pokemon Craft out there, but I think some people will like it because of it's simplicity

Slowking are regular Slowpoke who suffered a peculiar event. The King's Rock they rarely hold attracts Shellder, and gets bitten on its head instead of its tail. The poison that some Shellder secretes reached Slowpoke's brain, turning it extremely intelligent.

This craft appeared in a Japanese magazine, and therefore there is only a lined version. There aren't too many lines though, and I think some people will like to have this in their craft collection. it only has 6 pieces and one page, so you should have built it in no-time.

Chingling

Watch out for this cute little Pokemon, as it might take away all the attention for all your other crafts!

Chingling looks like an animated bell, with its opening representing a mouth. It also has two red and white tassles. Inside its body is a red orb that creates its cry when it is agitated, much like a real bell.

Another nice one pager by POdragon. As you can see on the picture, it's even smaller than a CD. The hands and feet are very tiny, so you might have some problems with it. I recommend folding as few things as possible with this one, so the result will look rounder.

Nidorino

The second pokemon for today! Don't worry, I will be posting other papercrafts soon for people who don't like Pokemon :)

Nidorino is larger than its pre-evolution. Its forehead horn is larger, as well as its ears and the spines on its back. It has grown large teeth.

It looks like you have to add tabs for the stings on it's back yourself. I suggest making these tabs as small as possible, so that you don't see too much of these tabs. You could also print out the spikes twice, and glue them together so you will have textures on both sides. It's all up to you!

Psyduck resembles a yellow duck or platypus with a vacant stare. Its appearance, according to the Pokédex, is meant to trick enemies into thinking it is weak. It has arms with three claws on each to deliver scratches if threatened.

Squirtle, Squirtle! The cute Pokemon that recently appeared in the game Super Smash Bros. Brawl.

Squirtle is a bipedal turtle with its most notable feature being the hard shell on its back. This shell forms and hardens on its back after birth. It could perhaps be distantly related to some other turtle-like Pokémon, such as Torkoal and Turtwig, but Squirtle seems to only be closely related to its evolutions.

It's a Dragonite!

Despite being bulky, Dragonite are incredibly agile and fast. Unlike it's pre-evolutions, it is orange and possesses arms and legs. They resemble a European dragon, and have a pair of little wings that can increase in size while in flight. It has a taller stature than most humans.

Note from PMF: "Just a note about Dragonite, the one in the picture is the testbuild, so the tail's too heavy.

I now changed the tail so it's level with the feet and serve as a "third leg". So no need to add weight or anything."

Awesome :) No need to add weight. That's how good this model is!

Cubone, I choose you! Cubone, use paper!

Cubone appears to be a small brown dinosaur-like Pokémon, that constantly wears a skull (supposedly the skull of its mother) like a helmet, which masks its true face from view, a puzzlement for many trainers and researchers. It carries another bone, which it uses to attack with moves like Bone Club.

Cubone has a plump body, with strong limbs to carry its bone as a weapon around wherever it goes. A small tail is also present for balance, but it can be used for attacking.
