Fairy in a Bottle
You already got 2 models today, so why not a third one! I've had this lil model that's been sitting on my desktop for a while so I thought I should post it. You might recognize from the pic the little fairy from Zelda : The Wind Waker. She's very cute and not so hard to build... now why didn't I post it earlier? Because of the bottle!
Me (PMF) and Skelekitty have been trying to build that bottle for a while and things aren't working for us it seems. The idea is that we made a paper bottle big enough to contain the fairy, just like in the game, but how d'you build a transparent bottle!? We tried with a bunch of plastic sheets and differents glues, but nothing worked wonder (tape works but...). So now it's your turn; try to build that and send us some pics!
So here's the Download.
Have a nice day!

Hi there,
As a Zelda fan I thought this was an awesome idea :)
But, would there happen to be a pdf of this?
If not I admire it anyway :)

just an idea...if you take the template from the bottle you built out of paper, you could make the tape-template on top of it. lay the tape sticky-side up, and lay another piece sticky-side down, but leave the tape sticky-side up uncovered on the 'tab' portions. I'd try using packing tape for this - it'll be sturdy like paper, but transparent!! i'd be willing to try this if you emailed me the bottle template at pineappleproof@gmail.com.
ps - LOVE LOVE LOVE this website!!!

First Papercraft I've made. finished it yesterday. Of course, there's a few mistakes here and there and I can't manage to do it without lines. Tried this out to see if crafting would be easy.
Now I'm just sad that I didn't try building a colored one and used a balck and white print as test instead.
I just need to do it all over again, I guess.

The bottle is pretty easy, actually.
You'll just need to use rigid, clear plastic, or acrylic. It comes on rolls or in sheets, and you can find it in A.C. Moore and Micheals. It's often used for stencils and stuff, or die-casts. You can fold it in strong heavy folds, too.
Anyways, you'd just cut it the way you would a paper bottle and fold it, and then close it around the fairy.
