Snake

Snake is one of the two guest characters to appear in brawl. He hails from Konami, and was one of the most requested characters.

In Brawl, Snake likes to hide out in a little box. This is a typical smash bros box, but if you look closely you can see Snake peeking out.

You can find a papercraft of Snake in the box in his box here (just scroll down the page)

There was one cut scene in brawl, where lucario surprises Snake while Snake is hiding in his box. Snake has a huge exclamation mark above his head, and then joins your team. His help is vital to the team infiltrating the halbered. What struck me, was that while Snake was hiding in his box, he was oblivious to his surroundings. While the world couldn't see him, he was also blinded to the world!

Many people like to hide in "boxes" as well. They live quiet lives, and never try anything new. They accept everything that they're told, and live completely normal lives. They believe that there is no God because that's what everybody else believes. THINK!!! We are not robots dammed to a mediocre existence of only pleasing ourselves! Question what you're taught! How do you know that there is no God? Think cynically about the subject, talk to an real pastor about it (one that really believes in Christ and the resurrection), ask him why he's spending his life on such a crappy job. What's his reasoning? Does he believe in Jesus without any proof? If you e-mail me, I too would be glad to answer any questions you have according to my ability. I don't care how, but you must at least be informed what Christianity is about. Otherwise how do you know that you're not missing the greatest thing in your life? It's the greatest thing in my life; I can attest to that. Will you just ignore this? Why am I so crazy about Jesus? Don't close your eyes to the truth, step out of your box.

While we may often be blind in our own boxes, I don't think that Snake is completely helpless in his....knowing him...he was just surprised that Lucario found him....

Anyway, back to the papercraft. It's a challenging papercraft, so I wouldn't recommend it to a beginner. Not because it's hard to figure out how to put him together, but because there are simply a lot of small pieces. He's very polished, and has already gone through 3 testbuilds, so you don't have to worry about this papercraft being impossible to build. Gazamaniac built two of them and also made the instructions + edited some minor details. He's been a great help to me in making this papercraft. Thanks Gary!! I could not have done this without him.

  • Very nice...

In the pic he looks kinda shiny... was it made with glossy paper or something?

I agree with what you said about people "hiding in boxes", too. Most people just brush off Christianity without a second thought just because of preconceived notions. If they would just ask somebody who actually knows what they are talking about, I'm sure it would clear up a lot of questions.

Speaking of that, if there's anyone who has any doubts, try reading The Case for Christ. Basically, the author of the book was an Atheist, but then one day, his wife became a Christian. He had all sorts of stereotypes that he thought his wife was going to turn into, so he tried to disprove the Bible, and "set his wife straight". Basically, he spent years of research trying to find ways he could destroy the Bible's credibility, but by the end he became a Christian. It's a really good book.

Also, one last thing: the reason that Christians are so persecuted is because of how much sense it makes. Think about it: If there was some religion that believed that spaghetti was actually the secret to life, no one would believe that, right? Sure, they'd be made fun of, (all religions are, in some form or other,) but there wouldn't be people screaming at them to shut up.

No matter what you try to disprove, no matter what argument you come up with, you can't argue with billions of changed lives.
