Falco Lombardi

One of the best characters in brawl (and melee): Falco Lombardi

This is a very proud ego-centric bird, he doesn't need anybody's help anytime. After Fox saved his life in "Starfox 64" his sole reply was, "I guess I should be thankful" Nobody can tell Falco Lombardi what to do; he acknowledges authority from no one.

We can be a lot like this; Jesus Christ gave his life for us, and the most you say is "I guess I should be thankful"
Don't do this! When Jesus Christ died for you, all your bad actions, and vileness were forgiven! When you accept his gift of forgiveness and accept that you needed it (unlike Falco) all your sins will be washed away and you will be able to stand blameless before God on judgment day. Blameless. One of my favorite verses Titus 2:14, He gave gave his life to free us from every kind of sin, to clense us, and to make us his very own people, totally committed to doing good deeds." When Christ dies for us he washed all out sins away; all we have to do is aknowlage that we're not good enough for God's standard (All have sinned and fall short of God's glory - Romans 3:23) and accept his forgiveness. Unlike Falco.

So anyway, Falco is my best papercraft to date. The pack that you'll download contains full ninjatoes-style instructions, lined and lineless versions (.pdo and .jpeg), and a read me file (read it!!). I hope you enjoy building this Red Yoshi papercraft!

  • Awesome work, Red Yoshi! I'm not one for Fox or Falco in game, but this is a great model! Can't wait to see what you do next!

By Blogger Alicia, At July 1, 2008 6:49:00 PM CEST

  • Shut the hell up about this Jesus shit. Seriously. You have a fucking Jesus blog, if you feel like bitching about your imaginary friend, you can do it there. This is your final warning.

By Anonymous Anonymous, At July 1, 2008 7:34:00 PM CEST

  • ralf, great post. keep on the straight and narrow! don't let comments from "anonymous" to get you down. all we can do is pray that God would penetrate that person's heart, changing it from stone to flesh. all glory to God!

By Anonymous cristof!, At July 1, 2008 8:03:00 PM CEST

  • oops... comment for Red Yoshi (since he posted the entry :)

By Anonymous cristof!, At July 1, 2008 8:06:00 PM CEST

  • I'm sorry, there's nothing that will make me stop with my "Jesus shit". It's too important for me to stop. If you want to have my papercraft, you'll just have to put up with it. I can't understand why it's bothering you so...I mean, if he's just imaginary... what's the big deal? ;-)

Also, my next model will be pit. I think the detail will be a little high, but the result will be amazing. Though it's hard for me to get human proportions right *Ike's head *cough* I think I got Pit's proportions down correctly. Thank you for your comments!

By Blogger Red Yoshi, At July 1, 2008 8:17:00 PM CEST

  • your papercrafts are nice and its cool you have something you believe in but you should really stop trying to convert people to w/e flawed religion you are (i assume your christian because all christians, even the religions that branched off of it, think they are always right with this religious crap and try to convert people)

By Anonymous Anonymous, At July 1, 2008 9:05:00 PM CEST

  • haha I like how people say it's a flawed religion and only leave it at that without saying anything to back it up

anyway very impressive Red-Yoshi, keep up th good work

By Anonymous Anonymous, At July 1, 2008 9:24:00 PM CEST

  • lol. Yes, I am a christian. But I don't see why I shouldn't try to show other people the salvation I've found. I mean, if you really like a certain video game/manga, you want to tell other people right? You want to spread the news. I'm spreading the news about something far greater than any video game/manga, a salavtion from my real sins. Sins that would have sent me to hell otherwise. I hope you understand what I'm coming from...just like it's not wrong to "evangelize" for some manga/video game, it's in no way wrong to tell people about salvation though Jesus.

Also, if you have further comments, so we don't clog up this comment list, could you e-mail me? e-mail is daredyoshi(at)gmail(dot)com. Thanks.

  • No he shouldn't. Go loves him too - all of us should burn in hell, but none of us now have to. Thanks for the encouragement though. :-)

  • this is what happens when you bring religion into any subject other then religion. have respect for your religion and others, dont post religious crap. like the other anon said believing in something is cool but dont try to convert people. every religion is flawed, and if you think other wise then you are ignorant and you need to open your eyes

By Anonymous Anonymous, At July 2, 2008 12:30:00 AM CEST

  • Great Job Red Yoshi! Falco looks fantastic (and he's my main in Brawl, so I'm picky :) but he looks just right!

By Anonymous Navi03, At July 2, 2008 12:34:00 AM CEST

  • Look! Please just e-mail me with this stuff!! I promise I won't tell anybody who you are!

    As for what you said:

I have never seen a flaw in the Bible. I've seen flaws in other religious books, but not the Bible. Out of the 300+ prophecies in the Old Testament over half have already been fulfilled. Creation itself hasn't been proven wrong (though evolution has had troubles at every turn http://www.answersingenesis.org/) There is not a single true contradiction in the Bible (which was written over a span of 2,000+ years by 42 different authors)Why should I not trust it? Therefore, I don't see Christianity as a religion, but the truth. If you have any more questions/comment please e-mail me so these comments don't get off topic.

By Blogger Red Yoshi, At July 2, 2008 1:00:00 AM CEST

  • Great model and lol'd at "I guess I should be thankful" - I played that game way too much... Know every quote, I swear. oh yeah and at the arguers, here are some choice quotes that could go either way:

"think they are always right with this religious crap"

"have respect for your religion and others"

"every religion is flawed, and if you think other wise then you are ignorant and you need to open your eyes"

I'm looking at you, Mr "You need to open your eyes". There's nothing more depressingly narrowminded than a statement along the lines of "all _______ are narrowminded".

By Anonymous Anonymous, At July 2, 2008 1:44:00 AM CEST

  • Congratulations Red Yoshi!
    The model was wonderful!

Great model, by the way! I love your site!

  • You know, I think it's awesome that Red uses papercraft as a way of spreading a message. I'm a back slidden Christian myself, but I admire his perseverance and I think it's great that Drummy lets him post what he likes.

And have you noticed that every person that posts anti-religious stuff posts as Anon? Cowards.

By Blogger Alicia, At July 2, 2008 2:29:00 PM CEST

  • It probably would've been more in context if you made a paper craft Jesus.

    But Falco? >_>

You should've just had a paragraph of overused Starfox quotes.

    DO A BARREL ROLL

By Anonymous Anonymous, At July 2, 2008 2:36:00 PM CEST

  • He's using Falco as an example of how people can act sometimes. And there are papercraft Jesus's. Google it.

By Blogger Alicia, At July 2, 2008 2:44:00 PM CEST

  • "I mean, if you really like a certain video game/manga, you want to tell other people right?"

But my liking that video game/manga doesn't affect that person's preconceived notions about other video games/mangas. In pushing your religion, you not only insult people's beliefs but disregard their personal faith. A more accurate analogy would be:

"I mean, if you really like a certain video game/manga, you want to tell other people that it is the best and all other video games/mangas are lies in comparison, right?"

Please have some respect for your audience. I respect your religion, please respect ours.

Oh yeah, and "I have never seen a flaw in the Bible."? Here's a list of 700 of them:

    http://www.infidels.org/library/modern/donald_morgan/contradictions.html

By Anonymous Anonymous, At July 2, 2008 3:02:00 PM CEST

  • Could you please just e-mail me?

Abuot that site you posted...this is what it says in the intro:

"IMPORTANT: Please keep in mind that by "inconsistencies" I do not necessarily mean "contradictions." Even though accepted and common definitions of the two terms often make them synonymous, I make a subtle distinction which is reflected in at least some of the accepted definitions. What I have in mind is that an inconsistency involves a lack of harmonious uniformity, regularity, steady continuity, or agreement among the verses cited. Thus, whereas a contradiction is necessarily an inconsistency, an inconsistency is not necessarily a contradiction. But certainly some of the listed biblical inconsistencies could be taken as biblical contradictions."

Of course it will have inconsistencies, it was written by 42 different authors. The fact that the Bible has inconsistencies actually makes it more believable, because it proves that it wasn't written by a single person. Was it doesn't have is contradictions. Oh, and if any of those seriously hurt your faith, just e-mail me and I'll clear it up.

  • "In pushing your religion, you not only insult people's beliefs but disregard their personal faith"

Yet again you seem to totally forget what you've been saying...

By Anonymous Anonymous, At July 2, 2008 5:23:00 PM CEST

  • it's interesting to see what you ("anonymous") are saying. Typical unbeliever stuff. i will keep praying that God will change your heart.

By Anonymous cristof!, At July 2, 2008 5:51:00 PM CEST

  • Wow, Red Yoshi! Great way to relate God's teachings with one of our favorite subjects. I never thought about this that way. I think if it came right down to it, Falco would do the right thing, accepting of help, though he wouldn't want to acknowledge it.

Also, it's an incredibly good papercraft. I don't suppose you are taking commissions? I have a certain other Star Fox character I would like to have a scale model of.

By Anonymous Mr. Krystal, At July 2, 2008 7:00:00 PM CEST

  • You poor, naive, unbelieving fools. Oh, to be so sure in the lies that you marinate yourself in!

I can only hope you turn away from your false idols and worship Wōden as all true believers do.

You need to open your eyes! I will pray for you in the hope that Wōden will come into your lives and blind you with his brilliance.

    Wōden be with with you.

    P.S Nice papercraft.

Well he is a nintendo fanboy amiright

and just because i'm a scientologist doesn't mean thatt i am dumbb lol :)

By Anonymous Anonymous, At July 5, 2008 12:03:00 AM CEST

  • You're a scientologist? No offence, but I can't imagine why anyone would want to be a religion that you have to BUY the different levels of knowledge. Plus, when you think about it from a story perspective, how much more crazy is Scientology from the Bible. Hmmm, aliens that populated the planet and certain people are incarnations of them or a Jew that was born of a maiden and died and rose again. Personally I have an easier time believing in Jesus than Xenu. I have an easier time accepting Siddhārtha Gautama the creator of Buddism than all that "Operational Thetan" that Hubbard wrote.

Everyone else's religions seems silly or obnoxious to you when you hear someone talking about them. Just enjoy Red's papercraft and if it offends you, don't read what he writes. It's just that simple.

By Blogger Alicia, At July 5, 2008 4:47:00 PM CEST

  • If people are here its for PAPERCRAFT that is GAME related. Religion and politics are 2 of the things that many people will disagree on.

everyone is right and everyone is wrong. WARS are still being fought about whos VERSION of a biblical story is correct, not just who has the best creator(s)/prophet(s).

if u want to do missionary work (which can be very rewarding) or evangelizing feel free to do it in a more receptive forum or medium. some people dont enjoy being bombarded with ideas that they have already evaluated and deemed not for them.

great papercraft, seriously. good details, now i need to dedicate a whole book case to my addiction >.>

oh and may his noodley appendage touch each and everyone of you! rAmen!(provided as a humor point, please laugh)

By Anonymous Anonymous, At July 7, 2008 7:09:00 AM CEST

  • Oh my, on a NINTENDO blog you are going to compare Falco with Jesus? It's even in red, so we can all read about the goodness of Jesus? I don't want to read about his unbelievable deeds while I'm watching papercrafts. I really don't want you to open our eyes to see his brilliance. What's the matter with religious people. Always thinking they are having a patent on the truth. I have respect for every believer but I don't want to see that they think I'm living a wrong life cause I don't believe in that stupid Jesus and God of you people. Make a I (L) Jesus blog if you want to talk about that, but not if you people are seriously trying to set up a Nintendo papercraft site. :')

By Anonymous Anonymous, At July 13, 2008 3:49:00 PM CEST

  • Hey Red Yoshi.

As far as the papercraft is concerned, GREAT JOB! It's really awesome, you have some of the highest quality papercrafts out there.

As far as all these religious comments are concerned... I'm with you all the way. Unfortunately, there's always going to be people like this, who will flame Christians at every opportunity. Especially on the internet, where you can be Anonymous.

I have to say, you are really bold with sharing your faith; that the way most Christians should be. At first I thought it was kinda strange that you were writing Bible stuff on a papercraft blog, but then I realized: by doing that, you are witnessing to thousands of people! Every time someone comes here to download Falco, they get to hear about Jesus! And if it can change even one person's mind, then dealing with all of these haters would be worth it, right?

Oh, one last thing, I checked out the list of 700 (alleged) flaws, and I have to say, they are stupid. Many of them are taken out of context. i.e. if there was a verse "1)I never said 2)I hate bunnies 3)because that would make me seem evil.", then someone could quote verse 2, because it says "I hate bunnies". I noticed a lot of things in that list did that.

But yes, you are right, if there were no flaws, it would be a sign of a fake. If it was all written by the same person, they would make sure there were no mistakes, to make it sound more believable.

And as he said its important to him so why shouldn't he share it? It's a positive message. If Jesus isn't alive and he is supposed to be imaginary why is it bothering anyone so much? Jesus lives.

But I have to say i was a little put off by the little religious speech.
I fully accept your beliefs and hold no hostility towards you, or god. however A blog pertaining to papercraft really doesn't seem like the appropriate place for it; Some [as im sure you've seen] may be offended.

Much respect and thank you very much.

Whatever you do, don't let all of the anons get you down. Keep making awesome crafts and talking about the greatness of Jesus, and lets pray that God will find his way into their hearts. And all of the rest of you, if you don't believe, then just ignore it the religous parts instead of turning the comment room into a courthouse.
